About Us

Kellie graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in 2005 and continued her career as a veterinary technician for 11 years.  She found her focus as a positive reinforcement reward based dog trainer and graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College.  She continued her student teaching at All Breed Rescue & Training in Colorado Springs, CO until she returned to Michigan in the spring of 2013.  She became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed in October 2014.  She has raised 8 puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind, 4 are currently woking in harness for the blind, 1 is currently completing his training at Leader Dogs, 1 she is currently raising, 1 has been career changed, and 1 is in the breeding program.  Kellie is also a dog trainer with a national non-profit organization called Pets for Vets.  She is a mother of twins and 4 fur-legged children.



Positive Pawz Training is reward-based training strictly using positive reinforcement methods.   We are innovative, family friendly, and want you to learn to effectively communicate with your dog!
